Pro Wrestling NOAH superstar, Akitoshi Saito, will sign a new contract with the promotion in January, as part of the company’s cost cutting measures, which has already fallen victim to certain wrestlers in the promotion that the company have been overpaying massively in recent years.

Saito, a former Karate fighter who made his professional wrestling debut in 1990, before heading to New Japan Pro Wrestling in 1991 and leaving in 1998, has been an integral part of the Pro Wrestling NOAH roster since October 2000, where he has won the GHC Tag Team Championships as well as the NOAH Global League on two occasions with Jun Akiyama and the late Bison Smith.

Saito will now become more of a freelance worker in Japan, allowing him to compete for Pro Wrestling NOAH and other promotions such as New Japan Pro Wrestling, All Japan Pro Wrestling, Big Japan Pro Wrestling, Osaka Pro Wrestling, Dragon Gate and more.
