In an interview with Mike Mooneyham of the Charleston Post and Courier, TNA Wrestling superstar Kurt Angle commented on his decision years back to leave the WWE, his Olympic aspirations, the TNA Wrestling locker room and much more.
In regards to him leaving the WWE, Angle noted that all WWE were worried about at the time was him making John Cena look good and to put Cena over and that was more important to the company than his own health and from then on his attitude towards Vince McMahon turned sour, noting that they had a great relationship before that.
When asked about TNA Wrestling, Angle noted that the company is not like the WWE, but they are getting there and everybody’s helping each other out and it’s not a cutthroat business like other companies stating that no one is trying to one-up the other person and it’s more of a team company with everybody pulling for one another because they want the show to succeed and it’s a very different atmosphere which he loves.
Kurt then talked about his Olympic aspirations and said that he could still go, however he just couldn’t do all the training needed especially with his professional wrestling career and admitted that he may have bitten off more than he could chew, however it was a learning experience and that everyone is asking him to do it in 2016, however he’ll be 47 then and there’s no way he’d consider it.
