In an interview with Chris Jericho’s “Talk Is Jericho” podcast, WWE superstar Bad News Barrett opened up on an idea that WWE nixed prior to a WWE RAW taping in Chicago, Illinois.

Barrett noted that he was originally scheduled to come out to the crowd dressed as CM Punk shortly after Punk’s departure from the company, before turning to the fans delivering his signature “I’m Afraid I’ve Got Some Bad News” stating, “It was in the script until about thirty minutes before the show and they pulled it. I think Paul Heyman ended up doing something similar. I didn’t have a storyline angle or important angle at the time and Heyman and Brock Lesnar did.”
