WWE superstars Brock Lesnar and Chris Jericho were reportedly involved in a backstage altercation immediately following the Brock Lesnar vs. Randy Orton match at WWE SummerSlam, according to a report from Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, who notes that there are varying sides to the story.

The report notes that according to multiple sources, Chris Jericho came to the gorilla position just as the match ended, apparently to check on Randy Orton’s health and to find out what exactly happened and asked Michael Hayes what the finish was, or if that was the planned finish and that Michael Hayes would not answer him, at which point Jericho stated “That’s B*******”, just as Brock Lesnar came back from the ring. Lesnar apparently thought Jericho was talking about his match with Randy Orton and told him to mind his own business, which led to the two going face-to-face and exchanging words, apparently shouting at one another the whole time.

The report notes that Lesnar pushed Jericho with his fingers and Jericho once again squared up with Lesnar, with one version claiming that Lesnar shoved Jericho to the wall at one point. Both men were reported to have been near the wall, at which point Triple H jumped in to break it up and that it was heated enough that they went back at it again, at which time, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon stepped in and told them to break it up and told Jericho, who was yelling about Lesnar at that time, that it was all a work and to be professional, however Triple H reportedly told Vince that it was Lesnar that had started everything and that Jericho was just standing up for himself and that there was more than just words exchanged.

The report goes on to note that when Jericho saw Randy Orton and the condition he was in, he became furious, which was due to him being concerned with Randy Orton’s health and safety, however Orton assured him that he knew the way that everything was coming and that he was okay.
