Ticketmaster are currently listing the May 22nd WWE Payback pay-per-view as an Extreme Rules pay-per-view, while The Prudential Center where the event is being held has replaced the WWE Payback logo on their website with a simplistic pay-per-view logo.

While not much else is known, it appears as if WWE has decided at the last minute to change their pay-per-view scheduling as local advertisements for the event pushed the Payback name and theme, while tickets for the event, which are currently on pre-sale with general sale scheduled for Friday, still list it as the WWE Payback pay-per-view.

The 2016 WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view had been scheduled for April 24th, however no venue has been announced and no tickets have gone on sale as of writing, so it may appear as if that date has been dropped or will be used for something else such as a live WWE Network special.
