Chris Jericho made an unadvertised appearance following the main event of today’s New Japan Pro Wrestling “New Year’s Dash” event at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan, which appears to be the start of a new feud for Jericho.

Jericho and Naito had taken shots at each other verbally during the build to Wrestle Kingdom 12, which saw Jericho lose to Omega. During the New Year’s Dash event which saw Los Ingobernables de Japon (Tetsuya Naito, Hiromu Takahashi, SANADA, EVIL & BUSHI) defeated CHAOS (Kazuchika Okada, Will Ospreay, Hirooki Goto, YOSHI-HASHI & Gedo), Jericho hit the ring and attacked Naito, which led to the two being pulled apart only for Naito to attack Jericho and spit in his face.

Jericho was pulled to the back by several of the Young Lions, with Naito teasing that he was going to throw a chair through the crowd at Jericho, only to sit the chair down and turn his back to Jericho.

We will have full results on the site shortly, but it’s clear to state that Jericho’s New Japan Pro Wrestling appearance is not just a one-shot deal after all.
