In an update on CM Punk’s merchandise returning to WWE’s official shop, a report from PWInsider.com notes that in regards to rumors that Punk has signed a new deal with the company, that is not the case and that it is WWE tying up loose ends as when Punk’s contract expired in July, the rights to his name and likeness which he had before his WWE run in 2006 went with him.

The report notes that WWE and CM Punk are believed to have worked out a settlement that allowed the company to sell off remaining stock and use CM Punk in the new videogame, while the Punk character will also be seen in the forthcoming WWE-Flinstones movie since the animation had been completed well before Punk left the company in January 2014 and that in regards to Punk making a potential return down the line that Punk has stated that he is retired as a professional wrestler and a return to the WWE is not happening.
