The best professional wrestling on the planet is coming back to the Boston area this fall! On Friday, September 30th, be there for ALL STAR EXTRAVAGANZA VIII also airing live on pay-per-view. And the very next day, we’re bringing you a national television taping on October 1st! But in addition to your favorite ROH stars, this massive two day event will also feature stars from New Japan Pro Wrestling! That’s right, New England finally gets the chance to see the dream matches and LIVE international action that only ROH and NJPW can bring you.
Making his Ring of Honor debut in Lowell… DRAGON LEE!
One of the most talked about young athletes in all of professional wrestling, DRAGON LEE has commanded the attention of fans everywhere. Many associate him with current ROH standout Kamaitachi and have been wowed by their incredible feud. As part of his NJPW Young Lion “excursion,” current ROH star Kamaitachi traveled to Mexico where he spent several years competing for CMLL. This immersive experience shaped his style we see today, and it also ignited his heated rivalry with DRAGON LEE! Kamataichi began his career in Mexico wearing a mask. But the reason his face is revealed today is because of Dragon Lee. These two gravity-defying athletes battled in unforgettable encounters, culminating in a “Luchas de Apuestas” with masks wagered. Kamaitachi lost and was forced to unmask, revealing himself as the former NJPW Young Lion.
Dragon Lee and Kamaitachi would reignite their feud in January, this time over the CMLL World Lightweight Championship. Kamataichi defeated Dragon Lee for the gold, but in time the former champion won back his title. The demand for this unforgettable luchadore has been heard by ROH officials, and now Dragon Lee finally competes in ROH!
