Coming hot off the heels of the sold-out War of the Worlds 2017 Tour in North America, ROH is thrilled to announce, in conjunction with NJPW, CMLL and Revolution Pro Wrestling, the first-ever War of the Worlds UK Tour from August 18th, 2017 – August 20th, 2017! With stronger-than-ever partnerships, stars from the top professional wrestling organizations in the world will do battle over the course of three nights!
The tour comes in overwhelming response to not only the resoundingly successful ROH Reach for the Sky UK Tour, but also to the rapid sellouts of Ring of Honor, New Japan, CMLL, and Rev Pro events around the globe. The match possibilities are endless, dream teams could be formed, and various championships WILL be contested!
The Liverpool stop of the War of the Worlds UK Tour will be available LIVE on ROHWrestling.com and the Fite.TV app! The event goes live around the globe at 1:00 PM EST and the card will feature championship bouts and first-time international battles!
Four top CMLL stars join the War of the Worlds UK tour in Liverpool and they will do battle in a tag team bout!
ULTIMO GUERRERO & REY BUCANERO vs. MISTICO & TITAN
Two CMLL legends, three-time CMLL World Tag Team Champions Ultimo Guerrero and Rey Bucanero, will team up in Liverpool to face two long-standing rivals Atlantis and Mistico! A feud that has roots dating back to the formation of Guerrero’s group known as Los Guerreros del Infierno in 2000! Since the announcement of the CMLL-NJPW- ROH partnership, the legendary Ultimo Guerrero has become a popular, familiar competitor to ROH fans. The former CMLL World Heavyweight Champion has held titles around the globe and has been engaged in a rivalry with Matt Taven and his Kingdom dating to the second-round of the ROH World Six Man Tag Team title tournament. On digital Pay Per View, Guerrero will team with his long-time tag team partner Rey Bucanero, a man who has held the CMLL World Lightweight Championship and is a four-time CMLL World Tag Team Champion!
Standing across the ring from the team voted the Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Tag Team of the Decade for the 00s is facing two of the top CMLL stars. Titan makes his UK debut on the War of the Worlds UK Tour and enters the tag team match with an opportunity to win the ROH World TV title the night before from KUSHIDA! The former Mexican National Welterweight Champion will team with Mistico! In 2012, Mistico scored one of the biggest pinfalls of his career when he pinned Ultimo Guerrero! Mistico has since become a two-time CMLL World Trios champion, as well as a CMLL World Welterweight champion!
