In speaking to several sources today, Wrestling-News.net can confirm that former WWE Champion “The Rated R Superstar” Edge will be appearing on next week’s 1,000th episode of WWE RAW alongside announced names such as Brock Lesnar, The Rock and Triple H. There are also plans pencilled in for the D-Generation X reunion to feature The New Age Outlaws (Billy Gunn and Road Dogg) coming out and interrupting Triple H and Shawn Michaels, however that is not 100% at this point.
Meanwhile, it is expected that Wade Barrett will return to the company next week following a lengthy shoulder and elbow injury that has kept him out of action for almost 5 months. Barrett has been filming WWE Studios’ upcoming film “Dead Man Down”, in which he has a small role in, alongside Colin Farrell during his time off.
A surprise return for The Undertaker is also scheduled on the show, however no one knows who his target is and whether this will start a build towards WrestleMania 29, or whether the company will hold back on those plans until after WWE Summerslam or the WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view.
Lastly, many people within the company are expecting Michael Cole to be announced as the new WWE RAW General Manager, with Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler returning to calling the action on RAW, however nothing is set in stone. Others names being thrown around for a potential WWE General Manager role are Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, Triple H, Teddy Long, Shawn Michaels, Vickie Guerrero and A.W. (Abraham Washington).
