After speaking with several sources over the weekend, we here at Wrestling-News.Net can confirm that the current plan for the WWE WrestleMania 28 pay-per-view is for John Cena to walk out victorious in his match against Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, which will lead to The Rock appearing on WWE Monday Night RAW the following night and demanding a rematch at the WWE WrestleMania 29 pay-per-view at the Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

There was a change made to the plans in late January when WWE officials got the confirmation that Metlife Stadium was able to host WrestleMania 29 in 2013, as original plans had The Rock walking out victorious with Cena appearing on RAW the following night and publically congratulating The Rock on his victory, which would over the coming months lead to the two teaming up at Summerslam and potentially winning the WWE Tag Team Championships. While the duo winning the tag team titles may still be possible, the current plans are focused on the WrestleMania match in 33 days and building towards next year’s event.

We have also learned that after Cena’s feud with The Rock ends, there is plans to put him into a feud with Dolph Ziggler, in order to elevate Ziggler to a full main event level superstar. As for The Rock, he is expected to return to filming on various movie roles and will make sporadic appearances on WWE RAW over the coming months post-WrestleMania and is expected to ignite a feud with Cena early in December, if plans go ahead.

If anymore on the situation becomes available, we will be sure to let you know.
