- Northeast Wrestling announced on their official Facebook account that their August 4th event featuring Hulk Hogan in Fishkill, New York has been postponed until September 22nd due to a scheduling conflict. “Due to a scheduling conflict, the Wrestling Under The Stars show has been moved to September 22. All show details remain the same. New tickets are being printed in the next few days and will be mailed out this week. If you have already purchased tickets your new tickets will be mailed out at that time. Northeast Wrestling and Hulk Hogan look forward to the seeing all of our fans at this once in a lifetime event. If anyone has an issue with the new date please e-mail newwrestling@yahoo.com. Northeast Wrestling and Hulk Hogan apologize for any inconvenience.”
- As of writing, the only items being hinted at for Thursday’s Impact Wrestling on Spike TV are a TNA Tag Team Championship match as Kurt Angle and AJ Styles defend against Christopher Daniels and Kazarian, Taeler Hendrix’s TNA Gut Check assessment and the follow up of the AJ Styles/Dixie Carter revelation.
- WCNC, based out of North Carolina is reporting that there was incident at the condo of Ric Flair and his wife Jacqueline Bains Beems, which resulted in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police being called to the building at approximately 9:40pm last night, however neither Flair not Bains Beems were arrested or hospitalized. Beems was arrested back in 2010 for an altercation at their home where she punched Flair in the face and was charged with assault, which was later dropped by the district attorney. - For those that have asked, the reason that Alex Silva has not been on TNA Impact Wrestling since his TNA Gut Check session is that he is currently in Canada sorting out some VISA issues.
- TNA Wrestling’s D’Lo Brown is featured in an interview with SportsTownChicago’s “The Top Rope” where he discusses the TNA Gut Check series at this link.
- A report from Fandango.com notes that former WWE, WCW and TNA Wrestling superstar Kevin Nash could potentially be appearing in a sequel of The Hunger Games with an excerpt noting, “We mentioned yesterday that former wrestler-turned-actor Kevin Nash had mentioned that he was up for a role in the sequel, but didn’t specify which character. Many fans speculate that Nash would be portraying Brutus, the buff 40-something District 2 champion who volunteers for the third Quarter Quell.”
