Japanese wrestling star Yoshihiro Takayama, best known for his work with All Japan Pro Wrestling, Pro Wrestling NOAH and in the later days DDT, has reportedly been paralyzed from the neck down after suffering an injury back in May in Osaka, Japan while working for the DDT promotion, according to a report from MMA website MiddleEasy.

The seriousness of Takayama’s medical condition only came to light today, despite it being known in Japan since May that he was injured, with no more details given since then.

The report notes that Takayama’s family are also said to be having financial issues at present regarding his medical care.
