WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross responded to Buff Bagwell’s claims made on Steve Austin’s podcast that Jim Ross ruined his career in 2001 when Bagwell joined the WWE after the purchase of World Championship Wrestling (WCW) on his own podcast this week.

Ross said that had not heard what Bagwell said on the podcast and won’t listen to that episode because he doesn’t plan on listening to it, because he is not interested in hearing himself being buried. Ross said that his former job as the head of WWE’s Talent Relations was often times a thankless job and that he had the distinction of having to let people go and it is always the worst part of the job and that it was great helping many wrestlers to live their dreams, become wealthy and help facilitate them to have a great quality of life for their family and that when word came from up top to terminate talent, then he was the messenger of bad news and he never relished in firing people.

Ross said that he is sorry that Bagwell feels like he does and is sure that he believes what is there is true, however he never went out of his way to cause Bagwell any misery and was just the guy that had to deliver the bad news. Ross wished Bagwell the best in the future and said that he hopes that Bagwell is healthy and continues to enjoy life.
