Former WWE Intercontinental Champion and UFC fighter Ken Shamrock will be returning to MMA later this year as Bellator MMA announced today that Shamrock will fight Kimbo Slice on June 20th in St. Louis, Missouri.

The fight was originally scheduled to take place in the now defunct EliteXC MMA promotion over 6 years ago, however Shamrock sustained a cut backstage and was replaced by Seth Pretuzelli who knocked Slice out in just 14 seconds.

News of the fight was picked up by ESPN with Slice stating that he hungers for the activity and that Shamrock was part of the menu, while also noting that Bellator made him an offer that he couldn’t refuse.
