In an update on the arrests of former WWE, WCW and TNA Wrestling Superstar Kevin Nash and his son Tristen Nash, both were charged with battery, which is a misdemeanor and were released from jail on Wednesday afternoon on their own recognizance.

The Daytona Beach News-Journal, which is citing the police report, is noting that Nash has changed his story to reflect that Tristen spat in his face. According to the police report, Kevin had a scratch that was bleeding next to his left eye, while Tristen had a cut on his elbow and redness on his chest and that Kevin would not allow a deputy to photograph his cut and would not fill out a statement, instead asking the responding officer to get a subpoena, while Tristen stated that his father took him down by grabbing his neck and his right shoulder and claimed that he could not breathe because his father was pressing down on his chest and admitted to grabbing his father’s face in an attempt to get him off his chest.

Meanwhile, Tamara Nash, the wife of Kevin and mother of Tristen, is alos reporting to have changed her story according to the publication. The report notes that at first, she claimed to have been on the second floor of the house and heard nothing between her husband and her son, but once Kevin was in custody, she said that Tristen had started the fight and that she was in fear due to past physical altercations with him.

The report notes that an hour after Kevin was arrested and just before 2am, a different deputy responded to the Nash residence again after a 911 call from Tristen’s uncle Jerry McMichael who reported that Tristen had slung his mother around the kitchen and that he allegedly attempted to stop Tristen from hurting his mother and while on the phone with a sheriff’s dispatcher, he warned him and that McMichael told the dispatcher that Tristen got his a** whooped by him. McMichael then stated to the second deputy that Tristen had been heavily drinking all night and would fill out a statement, but that Tamara Nash refused to co-operate and would not accept a Domestic Violence Rights and Remedies packet and that Tamara, the sister of McMichael, began arguing with him when he started filling out his statement, according to the police report which notes that McMichael then refused to finish filling out his statement.

Attorney Michael J. Pollis released the following statement on behalf of the family, “It’s an unfortunate situation. They’re a good family. I’m hoping the State Attorney’s Office will receive my information and dismiss the charges. The kid was out of control, and the father was defending his wife. I’m pretty confident we will have a resolution in the next couple of months.”

WWE released the following statement on behalf of the company, noting that Nash has been suspended from his WWE legends deal until the matter is resolved, “Kevin Nash has not regularly performed for WWE since January 2004. He is currently under a non-wrestling ‘legends’ contract, which has been immediately suspended until this domestic dispute is resolved.”
