WFTV Channel 9 in Orlando released video footage earlier today from an interview conducted with Armando Alejandro Montalvo, the man who was shot outside the WWE Performance Center back in August after he charged police officers who were called to the facility, explaining his side of what happened to investigators.

Montalvo claimed that he just wanted to become a professional wrestler and believed that he was on a “reality series” and that he ran at the police officers who responded because he believed that he would be shot with a stun gun and would look tough for the reality TV cameras.

For those unfamiliar with the story, police were called back in August after Montalvo, who the WWE had secured a restraining order against after he allegedly trespassed and vandalized the facility, showed up and began acting outside of the WWE Performance Center. In his previous arrests, Montalvo had been deemed mentally incompetent, leading to his previous charges, including battery against a police officer to be dropped. Montalvo’s father stated that he understands that his son is not allowed to be near the WWE Performance Center again. For those wondering, Montalvo is out of hospital and is currently at home after he bonded out of jail. Montalvo has plead not guilty to charges of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and trespassing and is slated for trial in February 2016.
