Ring Of Honor sent out the following:

Coleman & Alexander Hit The Lottery!

As has been reported on ROHWrestling.com, The All Night Express of Rhett Titus & Kenny King were originally slated to receive their “Proving Ground” earned ROH World Tag Title match on January 21st when Ring of Honor debuts in Norfolk, VA.  Unfortunately for the pair, an MCL injury to Titus necessitated surgery, leaving him unable to compete in Virginia and postponing ANX’s title bout until a future date.

However ROH officials feel that the great fans in Virginia deserve a title bout thus it was decided that a random lottery would take place, putting every ROH tag team in the running to receive a championship opportunity, with one team randomly drawn by officials.  Well over the weekend that team was selected and, receiving the opportunity of a lifetime with this championship match, it will be the freshest tag team in Ring of Honor: Cedric Alexander & Caprice Coleman!

“Words cannot do justice to how excited Cedric and I are to have this opportunity.” said Coleman, “We know we’re the new kids on the block here in Ring of Honor’s tag team division so getting this chance to challenge for the belts means the world to us but don’t mistake our newness for inexperience. See both Cedric and I have been around that block, we’ve fought around the country separately, and right here in ROH we have been fighting together for many months now, and against the very best teams, including you Briscoes.  So while this may have been a random drawing, I think it was one that was fated, it was destiny that Cedric and I would challenge for these belts in the same state where we started as a team, and I believe, with all my heart and soul, that it is destiny for us to win those belts in Virginia too!”

ROH World Tag Team Champions Jay & Mark Briscoe defend against Cedric Alexander & Caprice Coleman, Saturday January 21st when Ring of Honor debuts in Norfolk, VA!  Tickets for this exciting event are available now!
