TNA Wrestling superstar Matt Hardy was a recent guest on The Ross Report with WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross and touched on a variety of topics.

In regards to his goals in TNA Wrestling, Hardy stated that his goal is to help out the company as much as he can to survive and thrive following a tough year this year and noted that the company have new owners in Anthem Sports & Entertainment who are coming in and changing things and believes that Anthem will help to make TNA Wrestling grow and said that he wants to give back to professional wrestling because it has been good to him and allowed him to have a long career and that after all of that, he has to go on to do other things and joked that maybe he has to go on and save Vince McMahon’s show or even the entire wrestling industry or even the United States, which he stated was broken now with Donald Trump being President-Elect.

On the current state of the company, Hardy noted that Anthem had bought the tape library and majority shareholder stake in the company and said that they have very big plans and want to take TNA to its fullest potential and noted that the company has a great roster, but have been pulled down by the previous management that has not got them back on track and said that over the last couple of years, they have been so unstable in such a volatile situation because the current management has just not been able to get things back on track and budget the money the way tha they need to do it. Hardy said that his character helped build up some momentum and now the company can see the light at the end of the tunnel and thinks that Anthem will change things for the better and that it is going to be run in a very different way and be productive next year.

Hardy was then asked about a potential return to the WWE and said that Vince McMahon would like him to be on the WWE roster because of his gimmick, that in his words, is the hottest act in professional wrestling and stated that he would be open to returning to the company and possibly teaming with Jeff Hardy if contract negotiations do not go well with TNA Wrestling. Hardy said that he is looking for a pay increase to his TNA deal and equity because he wants to steer the ship that he things that he has driven as of late.
