WWE superstar Matt Hardy could be out of contract in several days, after he revealed on his Twitter account yesterday that he has only got 11 days remaining on his current WWE deal.

Hardy revealed the details after he shared photos of himself holding both the Maryland Championship Wrestling and Extreme Rising Championships back in 2014, which he captioned “I’ve always felt comfortable outside of the WWE”. This prompted a response from a fan, who assumed that Matt was issuing a thinly-veiled passive-aggressive threat to the WWE. Matt responded to the fan stating, “Not a threat at all, just a fact. I have 11 days left on my current deal. I love WWE, but I’m 100% comfortable being outside the walls of pro wrestling’s “Alexandria” safe-zone. I’m a born SURVIVALIST.”

For those wondering, Jeff Hardy’s deal is also said to be close to expiring, with all sides (Matt, Jeff and WWE) working to come to an agreement for a new contract.
