It is with deep sadness to announce that independent wrestler Michael “Maximum Capacity” Stanco has passed away aged 46.

Stanco, who at 650lbs was billed as “The World’s Largest Athlete” for several inependent wrestling promotions was diagnosed with rectal cancer in December 2011 and forced to retire from the ring, working his last match in Orlando, Florida in January 2012. Stanco noted at the time in November 2013 that his doctors informed him that the cancer wasn’t curable and that he had between 3-6 months to live.
