- Ring of Honor star Kenny King, as well as Johnny Yuma, Flip Kendrick and former WWE developmental superstar Dakota Darsow are all backstage at tonight’s TNA Impact Wrestling and are expected to be featured in the tournament to crown a new X-Division Champion at this Sunday’s TNA Destination X pay-per-view event. Despite being the ROH Tag Team Champion and still with Ring of Honor, it is believed that King’s contract with Ring of Honor expired and while he still remains with the company, he is free to appear on any other show.
- Dixie Carter noted on her Twitter account that the location for the 2012 TNA Bound For Glory pay-per-view event will be announced on tonight’s Impact Wrestling on Spike TV. The expectation amongst many is that the event will be held in the Southwest, however nothing is officially confirmed.
- Angelina Love, under the name of Angel Williams, has been announced to appear for NEO Wrestling’s “A Midsummer’s Nightmare” on July 28th in Ontario, Canada. Speaking of Love, she along with Shannon Moore have both been removed from the company’s official roster page after being granted their release from the company.
- TNA Wrestling announced that the TNA Knockouts Championship match for tonight’s show between Miss Tessmacher and Gail Kim is off due to Gail not giving proper notice as she needs 8 days notice for an official rematch. Brooke Hogan has instead booked Tessmacher and Tara against Gail Kim and Madison Rayne for tonight’s episode with the title match taking place next week.
- The latest on Chris Sabin is that he will miss approximately 6 months of action following surgery on his ACL. Sabin is awaiting clearance to begin physical therapy.
- Abyss has been announced for this Saturday’s OVW Saturday Night Special event in Louisville, Kentucky where he will compete in a steel cage gauntlet match. Ohio Valley Wrestling is the developmental territory of TNA Wrestling.
