Tommy Gilbert, the father of the late “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert is suing the WWE over the use of his son’s likeness and image on WWE programming and platforms without paying his estate, according to a report from TMZ.com.

Gilbert, who is in control of the estate, said that old wrestling footage of Eddie is being used to promote the WWE and while he isn’t suing to block the use of the footage, he wants a judge to force the WWE to pay up.

A representative for the WWE responded to the report stating that the WWE purchased legal rights to use old footage from other wrestling groups such as ECW and WCW and as a result, it expects the lawsuit to be dismissed.
