In an update on Daniel Bryan’s injury, a report from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that Bryan may require additional shoulder surgery as a full exam revealed that Bryan also has shoulder issues along with his already diagnosed neck issues that were known about previously and that right now, due to the uncertainty of everything and whether he will need surgery and what type of surgery it will be and how long it will rule him out of action, he’s currently not in any of the company plans and there’s no timetable set for when he’ll be returning to the company.

The report notes that WWE had planned for Roman Reigns to ascend up the ladder as the top guy at WrestleMania 31 whether Daniel Bryan was hurt or not, however if Bryan was still WWE Champion and not injured, the build would have been slower as the idea was for Reigns to work with Randy Orton and then work a big pay-per-view match, either at WWE Summerslam, WWE Night of Champions or WWE Survivor Series against Triple H.
