- John Cena announced on last night’s edition of WWE RAW that he will be cashing in his WWE Money in the Bank briefcase on the 1,000th episode of the show next week against CM Punk. The opportunity was presented for Cena to cash in on a weakened Punk last night, however he announced that he wanted the match when both men were fresh next week.
- Rey Mysterio returned to the company on this week’s show, making the save for Zack Ryder, who was beaten down post-match by Alberto del Rio. Mysterio came out and hit Del Rio with the 619, which points to a potential feud between the two. Mysterio had been out since last year with a knee injury and was also suspended by the company for 60 days, due to his second violation of the company’s wellness policy testing.
- Speaking of returns, former WWE Tag Team Champion and WWE Intercontinental Champion Rikishi returned to RAW defeating Heath Slater. Following the match, in what can only be described as an awesome moment, Rikishi done his post-match dance celebration with his sons, Jey and Jimmy Uso. Rikishi commented on the matter on his Twitter account noting, “I’m speechless with a EPIC moment with my sons @WWEUsos … Man I’m still high.” Meanwhile, WWE Champion CM Punk took to his Twitter account to comment about how Rikishi remembered Umaga on last night’s show when using the Samoan Spike, “Loved Rikishi using the spike. Total class. Big Uce!!!!”
- It was announced on last night’s WWE RAW that a D-Generation X reunion will open the 1,000th episode of WWE RAW next week. Brock Lesnar and The Rock have also confirmed to appear on the show, with tons more surprises scheduled.
- The wedding of Daniel Bryan and AJ will take place also on next week’s show. Prior to that the two have been announced as special guests on “The Peep Show” with Christian on this Friday’s WWE SmackDown.
- Keeping with Christian, it was determined via a poll on WWE’s official website that he will defend his WWE Intercontinental Championship on next week’s show against an unnamed opponent. Christian won the vote over Layla defending her WWE Divas Championship and Santino Marella defending his WWE United States Championship.
