In an update on former Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) owner Paul Heyman’s current WWE standing, following the expiration of his contract, a report from Ryan Satin of ProWrestlingSheet.com notes that Heyman’s WWE contract actually expired back in May, however, he is currently negotiating a new deal with the company and it should not keep him from appearing at WWE SummerSlam next month.

The report notes that the hold-up is due to both sides trying to settle on the extent of Heyman’s outside projects, as back in March, Heyman signed a deal with Yahoo Sports to produce exclusive content for their website, while he announced a few weeks before the expiration of his contract that he would be doing a reality series.
