Following on from the news yesterday that the state of Minnesota was interested in hosting the WrestleMania 33 pay-per-view in 2017, it now appears as if the competition could be heating up as to what city or state will get the nod for the WWE’s biggest event of the year.

According to a report from Philly.com, Philadelphia officials remain interested in bringing the pay-per-view to the city and, like the state of Minnesota, are readying a bid for the WrestleMania 33 pay-per-view.

This year’s WrestleMania 31 pay-per-view will take place at the Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, while the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas will host the WrestleMania 32 pay-per-view in 2016.
