Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Rey Mysterio is reportedly negotiating with the company, as well as Global Force Wrestling, according to a report from Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, who notes that 42-year-old Mysterio is signed through the end of the third season of Lucha Underground, which is set to air in September and that he would then be free to work with any company after his 90-day non-compete clause expires.

The report notes that WWE would hold an edge when it comes to negotiations due to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida as Rey’s son Dominic, is currently pursuing a career in professional wrestling.
