In an update on WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair’s health issues, Melinda Morris Zanoni, a representative of Legacy Talent who represent Flair, released the following on Twitter.

Flair wrote in his autobiography To Be The Man several years ago that he suffers from Alcoholic Cardiomyopathy, a condition that is caused by excessive, prolonged alcohol abuse that can lead to heart failure and that when someone suffers from that condition, the effects of alcohol on the heart’s muscle leads to a situation where the organ is unable to pump blood in an efficient way.

On behalf of Wrestling-News.Net, we would like to send Flair our best wishes and hope for a speedy recovery.
