The following are the results of the WWE 2013 Royal Rumble, live from the US Airways Center in Phoenix, AZ.

US Championship
Antonio Cesaro (c) defeated The Miz by pin fall with the Neutralizer to retain the championship. During the match, The Miz injured his ankle after jumping from the top rope and landing awkwardly on it.
Opening Video
The start of the pay-per-view begins with a countdown. “Time, you can never have enough.” The video goes on to explain that every second counts in the Royal Rumble. 30 Superstars will fight to win a chance to main event WrestleMania. Past winners are shown, including Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold Steve Austin and last year’s winner, Sheamus.
Video Segment
The Rock and CM Punk WWE championship match is highlighted. CM Punk has been champion for 434 days, while The Rock hasn’t been champion for 10 years. The Rock says that “time is up for CM Punk.” The road to WrestleMania begins now!
Last Man Standing Match
World Heavyweight Championship
Alberto Del Rio (c) defeated The Big Show to retain the championship. Ricardo duct taped the Big Show’s feet to the ropes, preventing him from getting up.
Prior to the match, Bret Hart was shown backstage as Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo were making their way to the ring. They complimented each other, and Hart gave encouragement to Del Rio.
Backstage Interview
Dolph Ziggler (with AJ and Big E. Langston) confirms that he will enter the Royal Rumble at #1.
Royal Rumble Participants Shown
WWE superstars competing in the Rumble match are shown giving pre-recorded messages as to why they will win the Rumble. These were shown in a rapid fire style, and some of the superstars included: The Prime Time Players, Randy Orton, John Cena, Sheamus, Ryback and more.
Tag Team Championship
Team Hell No defeated Team Rhodes Scholars by submission with the Yes-Lock to retain the championships.

Elimination Chamber video is shown, it will be taking place on February 17th, and is the last pay-per-view prior to WrestleMania.

Backstage Segment
Team Hell No is shown when Vickie Guerrero walks in, and she hands them their entry numbers to the Rumble. Daniel Bryan shows Kane his number, but Kane doesn’t show him his number.

Highlights of the Rumble:
-Dolph Ziggler and Chris Jericho started things off, to the surprise of every one.
-Goldust and Cody Rhodes squared off for the first time, Cody eliminated Goldust.
-Kofi Kingston landed on an eliminated Tensai, never touched the ground, and ended up on the Spanish announce time. He ended up using JBL’s chair as a pogo stick to get back to the ring.
-The Godfather was eliminated in a second.
-Daniel Bryan eliminated his partner Kane. He then gets thrown out, but is caught by Kane, who decides not to save him.
-Chris Jericho and Dolph Ziggler lasted to the final 6, with Jericho lasting 48 minutes.
-The final 4 participants were: Ziggler, Sheamus, Ryback and Cena. Sheamus eliminated Ziggler, and Ryback eliminated Sheamus.
John Cena eliminated Ryback, and is the winner of the Rumble.

Backstage Interview
Josh Matthews introduces The Rock. The Rock is very emotional, talks about how he never gave up and always kept fighting in life. He says that his mom didn’t give up when she was diagnosed with cancer, and she is there tonight to watch him. “If you smell, what The Rock is Cookin” and he makes his way to the ring.
WWE Championship
The Rock defeated CM Punk by pin fall with the People’s Elbow to become the new champion. The Shield interfered in the match earlier, and triple power bombed The Rock through the announce table. This enabled CM Punk to pin and defeat The Rock, and was declared the winner, until Vince McMahon came out. McMahon told Punk he was going to strip him of the belt since The Shield interfered, but The Rock wanted the match restarted. McMahon restarted the match, and The Rock was able to land his finisher on Punk. The show ends with The Rock holding the WWE Championship belt, after 10 long years!
