WWE superstar Sheamus is a recent guest on Chris Jericho’s “Talk Is Jericho” podcast discussing his career, amongst other subjects.

In regards to his first WWE tryout, Sheamus said that it was a disaster and he had no idea what he was doing and had been very green at the time and that his second one was a week after the passing of Eddie Guerrero and that the overall mood was so down. Sheamus said that his second tryout match was against Dolph Ziggler, who has been wrestling for only about 3 months and said that the match was also a disaster and this was at the time that Ziggler was working as Chavo Guerrero’s caddy during Chavo’s days as Kerwin White.

Sheamus said that together, himself and Ziggler as of late look back and laugh about the match now and credited Dave “Fit” Finlay with giving him a lot of advice from the tryout, which helped him.
