It is with deep sadness to announce that former WWF spanish announcer Miguel Alonso passed away last night at the age of 89. Alonso was scheduled to be taken off life support last night, however he passed away approximately a half hour beforehand.

Alonso had a very long career working on the old Spanish International Network during the 1960’s and 1970’s before becoming the Spanish voice of the WWF in the 1980’s and working for WCW in the mid-90’s

Former WWE manager Percy “Paul Bearer” Pringle commented on the matter on his Twitter account, “Miguel Alonso, one of the Spanish Announcers for The WWF in the 1990s has died. What a gentleman and class act. Rest In Peace, Amigo.”

On behalf of us all here on the website, we would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Miguel Alonso.
