The following results are from a recent WWE SmackDown TV Taping. The taping took place on June 26th, 2012 at the Roberts Memorial Stadium in Evansville, Indiana and will air on June 29th, 2012 at 8pm Eastern on the SyFy Network.
Singles Match
Layla defeated A.J.
In Ring Segment
Following the loss to Layla due to a distraction by Daniel Bryan, A.J. and Bryan had a segment in the ring which Vickie Guerrero interrupted. Bryan asked Vickie that since she has the power, that she should ban A.J. from ringside for his WWE Championship Match against CM Punk at WWE Money in the Bank, however Vickie told Bryan that due to a WWE.com poll, A.J. has been selected as the special guest referee for the match, which made Bryan angry.
WWE Money in the Bank Qualifying Match
Damien Sandow defeated Zack Ryder to qualify for the SmackDown Money in the Bank ladder match.
WWE Money in the Bank Qualifying Match
Tyson Kidd defeated Jack Swagger to qualify for the SmackDown Money in the Bank ladder match. Following the match in an off-air segment, Jerry Lawler came to the ring and hit Swagger with punches and a fist drop. Once Lawler returned to the back, there was a video shown on screen of Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero discussing the triple threat match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship later in the evening.
WWE Money in the Bank Qualifying Tag Team Match
Christian and Santino Marella defeated David Otunga and Cody Rhodes to qualify for the SmackDown Money in the Bank ladder match. Following the match in an off-air segment, Triple H came to the ring and encouraged David Otunga to pose and then hit him with a pedigree. Triple H then dragged Otunga to Booker T, who hit him, got in the ring and done a spinaroonie.
2 On 1 Handicap Match
Ryback defeated Dan Barone and Brendan Burke.
Backstage Segment
Teddy Long was in the back with Aksana and Antonio Cesaro and mentions that next week, he will be the General Manager of both WWE RAW and WWE SmackDown and that since he has the power of running both shows, he has already thought of a match for next week’s SmackDown that will see Cesaro and Aksana team up to take on the team of Layla and The Great Khali.
WWE Money in the Bank Qualifying Match
Tensai defeated Justin Gabriel to qualify for the SmackDown Money in the Bank ladder match.
Triple Threat Match For The WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Sheamus (c) defeated Dolph Ziggler and Alberto del Rio (w/Ricardo Rodriguez).
Dark Match (Non Televised Match)
John Cena defeated The Big Show and Tensai. Following the match John Laurinaitis came out with a steel chair and attempted to swing at Cena, only to receive an Attitude Adjustment.
