Following last night’s edition of WWE RAW going off-air, John Cena and Alberto del Rio teamed up to defeat Jack Swagger and Ryback in a quick match. Cena was kept off last night’s WWE RAW to sell his injuries suffered at WWE Extreme Rules.

During tonight’s edition of WWE RAW, it was announced that John Cena will defend his WWE Championship against Ryback in an Ambulance Match. WWE Payback will take place on June 16th, 2013 at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.

During the WWE Extreme Rules Post-Show, WWE played an exclusive clip of medics tending to John Cena. The WWE Champ ended up recovering before being placed in an ambulance, tore off his neck brace and walked off with the help of a few referees. The 2013 WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view done 512,000 buys worldwide, up from 483,000 in 2012 and 476,000 in 2011. The event had 322,000 domestic buys with the other 190,000 coming from international purchases.

It was announced on WWE RAW that John Cena will defend his WWE Championship, at Extreme Rules, against Ryback in a Last Man Standing match. Vickie Guerrero allowed Ryback to choose the stipulation in the opening segment of RAW on Monday.  Extreme Rules is less than 2 weeks away, in St. Louis, Missouri.

WWE announced tonight that despite his injury, WWE Champion John Cena will be teaming with Ryback to take on The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns) in a 3 on 2 Handicap match on tonight’s edition of WWE RAW. Cena is also expected to address his injury on tonight’s show.
