The Miz vs. Wade Barrett for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. WWE made the announcement during tonight’s WWE Main Event TV Tapings at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. We’ll have full results from the tapings shortly.

The March 29th edition of WWE SmackDown drew a 2.0 rating, which was down from last week’s 2.11 rating. The show had an overall viewership audience of 2,850,000 viewers, down from last week’s 2,990,000 viewers.

WWE Hall of Famer Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat is no longer coaching at the WWE NXT training facilities, according to a report from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The report notes that Steamboat told everyone the news last Thursday, but will remain with the company in the Talent Relations department.

WWE superstar Rey Mysterio, who is currently out of action with a knee injury, is backstage at tonight’s WWE RAW in Washington, D.C. As of writing, it is unknown as to whether Rey will be appearing on the show, or if he’s simply backstage with the company for the hectic week that’s ahead of them.
