In an update on the possibility of former WWE Champion Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson appearing at the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view this Sunday, as things stand, he is currently not written into the show in any capacity.

WWE usually keeps things like this under wraps from the talent themselves to prevent it from getting out, however it should be noted that “The Great One” and the company have made teases in the past regarding his appearances, such as his appearance to confront Rusev in Brooklyn, his appearance at the 2015 WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view and more.

As mentioned earlier in the week, WWE superstar Roman Reigns made the tease that The Rock could appear at WWE SummerSlam in an interview with FOX Sports stating, “I wanna tell you but I don’t want to give anything away. Let’s just put it this way. It’s The Rock, Dwayne Johnson. Biggest superstar on Earth, possibly. If he wants to show up to Brooklyn, he’s going to show up to Brooklyn. It wouldn’t be the first time, and it probably won’t be the last time. It’s WWE. Anything can happen.”
