In an update on former TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Ring Of Honor World Champion and IWGP World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles signing a deal with WWE, according to a report from former TMZ reporter Ryan Satin of ProWrestlingSheet.com, Styles has signed a multi-year contract with the company that will allow him to retain his ring name, as well as various other trademarks.

The report notes that the deal with Styles was signed last week and allows the company to use trademarks associated to Styles including “The Phenomenal One” nickname and the “Styles Clash” name for his finisher, while the company will also retain some of the rights to Styles’ name in regards to video once he leaves the WWE.
