In an update on The Smashing Pumpkins’ frontman Billy Corgan’s purchase of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), the trademark issues that had previously been preventing Corgan from purchasing the company appear to have been resolved, paving the way for him to purchase the company, according to a report from PWInsider.com.

The report notes that all interest of the trademarks related to the National Wrestling Alliance, three in the United States and one in Japan, were assigned by Bruce Tharpe’s International Wrestling Corp. over to Lightning One, Inc as of May 25th and that Lightning One, Inc is a production company that lists Billy Corgan as the Director of the company, while as of June 21st, the United States Patent and Trademark Organization now lists Lightning One as the owners for all National Wrestling Alliance trademarks.
