In an update on Jeff Hardy’s recent arrest, the police report for the arrest over the weekend in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina stated that authorities had found Hardy unconscious in a stairwell smelling of alcohol when he was arrested, according to a report from TMZ who state that Hardy told officers that he had been drinking vodka.

The report notes that Hardy was taken into custody near 1600 North Ocean Boulevard, which is the address of the Ocean Enclave by Hilton Grand Vacation. Under South Carolina law, public disorderly conduct is considered a misdemeanor, while typical protocol is that the $153 that Hardy paid to bond himself out would double as the fine for a first time offense in Myrtle Beach.

Hardy is not required to appear in court if he does not wish to contest the charge, while the arrest will not hurt his ability to appear in South Carolina and is considered a fine similar to that of a parking ticket locally.

Shortly after the news emerged over the weekend, WWE issued the following statement to wrestling media regarding Hardy’s arrest, “Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions.”
