In an update on the recent meeting at WWE headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut between WWE officials and IMPACT Wrestling officials, the meeting reportedly had something to do with the WWE Network and the IMPACT Wrestling tape library, according to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

The report notes that IMPACT Wrestling could be interested in a deal that would see the company make money by giving the WWE Network access to their footage or to their television shows, noting that while IMPACT may have improved a lot creatively as of late, it is said to continue to struggle when it comes to mainstream star power.

The report adds that IMPACT Wrestling’s deal with POP TV is scheduled to end later in the year and that the deal pays the company very little, if anything, with the only way the promotion can make money these days via paying television deals, most specifically India as the company is making less money than before also in the United Kingdom.

According to the report, IMPACT Wrestling may not sell the tape library outright, as so much of their footage is used on The Fight Network, which is owned by Anthem, however there could be some sort of agreement made where they are able to continue to use the archive footage and have it also be part of the WWE Network’s On Demand section. Anthem and WWE have been on good terms since Anthem purchased IMPACT Wrestling, with footage from The Hardy Boyz, Kurt Angle and more during their time in IMPACT/TNA appearing on the WWE Network.
