In an update on the ownership of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), the Billy Corgan era of ownership will officially kick off on October 1st, according to a report from PWInsider.com who note that all of the member promotions that had licenses to use the NWA initials and branding under the ownership of Bruce Tharpe will end effective September 30th and that going forward, the National Wrestling Alliance will be whatever it is deemed to be under the leadership of Billy Corgan and Dave Lagana.

The report notes that as part of the transition, the NWA On Demand streaming service will be shutting down, a by-product of Corgan purchasing Tharpe’s interest in the Paul Boesch Houston territory library. The ownership of the library will continue to remain with the Boesch family, however Corgan will have the ability to control the library as he chooses going forward.
