In an update on this Sunday’s TNA Bound For Glory pay-per-view and the subsequent television tapings next week that will see the company film material through December 2016, everything will be moving forward and going ahead as planned this weekend at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida as The New York Post reported this morning that an unidentified third party, who are not Billy Corgan nor the WWE, provided a cash infusion that is allowing the company to run with the pay-per-view and tapings, with Corgan telling The New York Post that “it’s a go, as far as I’ve been told.”

Corgan has been quite open over the past week stating that he had the capital to run the shows, but that he was not going to put in money unless he was getting something in return and wanted majority ownership, something that obviously based on the report was not achieved this weekend, which leads to the question as to who are paying for the PPV and tapings to take place?

The New York Post report claims that the company had been in discussions with the WWE for the WWE to float TNA the funds to run the pay-per-view and subsequent television tapings, something that a lot of people within both companies found surprising this morning and something that many do not believe is true as many believe that a publicly traded company like the WWE would not hand a competitor that airs on a different network from WWE’s television partner, NBCUniversal, enough funds so that they can have a pay-per-view and run subsequent television tapings, with the feeling that WWE would just sit and wait to see how things play out and step in at the last minute to purchase the company, use the 14-year footage for DVD releases and WWE Network material and assess the current roster as to who they would like to sign to WWE deals, despite the company helping ECW out in 2000, which ultimately led to WWE purchasing ECW when ECW’s parent company filed for bankruptcy in 2001.

For those wondering in regards to where things stand with talent, all talent are either en route or are already in Orlando for this Sunday’s TNA Bound For Glory pay-per-view, with no one informed as to where things stand for the company going forward, with the only thing informed to them is when to arrive at Universal Studios for the pay-per-view.
