In an update on WWE’s new TV deal in India, an artile in The Hindu Business notes that the WWE and Ten Line Sports will be investing upwards of $100 million to upgrade the WWE’s presence in India, with Rakesh Sethi, CEO of Ten ports noting that the investments would be used to bring more live WWE events to India, to launch an official WWE merchandise line in the country and to reduce the gap in WWE TV series between the United States and India.

The report notes that Ten Sports will also be airing WWE in “multiple Indian languages” as part of their new deal that sees them hold the right to broadcasting the WWE through 2019 and that while Ten Sports currently airs WWE RAW, WWE SmackDown, WWE NXT and WWE pay-per-view events, they will be adding WWE Main Event, a one-hour version of WWE RAW tailored for the Indian market and other programming.
