In their second quarter results released this morning, WWE announced that the WrestleMania 30 pay-per-view did 690,000 traditional buys, compared to 1,039,000 in 2013.

Meanwhile, the company announced that the 2014 Extreme Rules pay-per-view did 108,000 buys, compared to 231,000 the year prior, the 2014 WWE Payback pay-per-view did 67,000 buys, compared to 186,000 buys in 2013 and that the 2014 WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view did 122,000 buys compared to no pay-per-view held at the same time last year.

The expectation is that the traditional pay-per-view method will die down with the worldwide launch of the WWE Network.
