WWE are said to be getting extremely aggressive in contacting and signing independent talent, to keep top names away from appearing on television shows and have reportedly been in contact with contracted MLW talents, according to a report from The Wrestling Observer.

The report notes that WWE are said to have approached several wrestlers who are currently under contract to MLW (Major League Wrestling) and that according to the legal papers sent, the talent advised MLW of the offers and told WWE they were signed, however WWE told the wrestlers that they should still come to a tryout and be around the system. This is a change from the past as WWE would back off when approaching a talent under a contract due to what happened in the past when ROH discussed potential legal issues regarding contract tampering.

It will be interesting to see if any talent currently under contract with MLW makes the switch over the coming months or even appears at an upcoming WWE tryout at the Performance Center.
