WWE are said to be warming to the idea of trying to sign AJ Styles to a deal with the company, according to a report from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

The report notes that while the WWE didn’t show a lot of interest in Styles when he left TNA Wrestling, the company have warmed to signing Styles as they begin the planning stages on building NXT into a full touring brand by 2016 and want to have names including Styles signed to deals, in the hopes that they can load up on talent that would be split between the three tours on the road.

Styles is currently signed to a deal with New Japan Pro Wrestling and is said to be happy there, however whether he will change his own stance should the WWE come calling when his contract expires is unknown.
