In an update on the WWE Draft being announced for the live edition of WWE SmackDown on July 19th on the USA Network, it appears that not only will the brand split mean new rosters for both brands, but that there will be more pay-per-view events per month, with split brands for each pay-per-view, bar certain events.

According to Sky Italia, the July 24th WWE Battleground pay-per-view in Washington, DC and the August 21st WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view in Brooklyn, New York will see both brands work the events, however on September 11th in Richmond, Virginia, WWE will present Backlash, a SmackDown-only pay-per-view. This will be followed two weeks later on September 25th by Clash of Champions in Indianapolis, Indiana, which at this time will be replacing the WWE Night of Champions pay-per-view as a RAW-only event, however those plans may change.

WWE then head to Sacramento, California on October 9th for the WWE No Mercy pay-per-view, which will be SmackDown-only, followed by the WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view three weeks later on October 30th in Boston, Massachusetts, which will be a RAW-only event. The rosters will then work together for the WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on November 20th, before WWE SmackDown present their final event of the year from Dallas, Texas, the WWE TLC pay-per-view on December 4th. Finally, WWE RAW will present their final pay-per-view of the year with WWE Roadblock from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on December 18th.

Ticketmaster’s official website are currently listing the September 25th WWE pay-per-view as Clash of Champions, so there may be something to the Sky Italia reports.
