In Ring Segment
Vickie Guerrero, joined by Paul Heyman, walk to the center of the ring.  There is a show of unity between the two, as they voice their displeasure with The Rock.  A recap video from last week, of The Rock Concert, is shown on the big screen.  The footage shows the insults The Rock had for both Heyman and Guerrero, and the songs he sang to both.  Vickie then says that she has banned The Rock from entering the arena tonight, and the San Jose police will arrest him if he attempts to.

The Rock is shown in the back, trying to enter, but the police prevent him from doing so.  He tells the police he understands they have a job to do, but somehow someway, The Rock will be in that ring tonight!

The segment ends with Vickie Guerrero saying that The Rock will be singing “Jailhouse Rocks” if he tries entering tonight.  She then does The Rock’s signature promo, “If you smell, what The Vick is cooking.”

The Big Show defeated Zack Ryder by pin fall via KO punch.  Before the match started, Brad Maddox made his way through the crowd and over the guard rail, to join on commentary.  During the match, breaking news was announced, the World Championship match at Royal Rumble, between Alberto Del Rio (c) and The Big Show, will be a Last Man Standing Match.  After the match, The Big Show got on the mic, put his boot on a knocked out Zack Ryder, and said this will happen to Del Rio this Sunday.

Backstage Segment
Paul Heyman is shown in the locker room on the phone, presumably with CM Punk, and he assures him that The Rock will not be allowed into the arena tonight.  Brad Maddox interrupts Heyman, Heyman tells him to stick with him, and he’ll make him famous.  They shake hands, Maddox leaves the room, and Heyman goes back to his phone call.

Singles Match
Ryback defeated Heath Slater (with 3MB) by pin fall via Shell Shock.  After the match, Ryback gets on the mic and says that the Royal Rumble was made for someone like him.  It’s his first Royal Rumble match, and this will lead to him main eventing WrestleMania. “Feed Me More!”

Backstage Segment
The Rock is shown again in the back, not allowed entrance by the police.  He pleads to the police that they “serve the people, and the people want to see The Rock electrify tonight.”  One of the police tells The Rock his family is here, and he’s supposed to be in there with them.  He still has his ticket, The Rock asks about that ticket, but Vickie Guerrero interrupts.  She wants the police to arrest The Rock, but they have no reason to at this time.  Vickie tells The Rock that she’ll lift the ban off of him if he apologizes to her.  Rock refuses, says he’ll do it on his terms, and tells her she still looks horrible tonight.

In Ring Segment
CM Punk, with Paul Heyman holding his WWE Championship, enter the ring. Punk gives a very serious, and confident promo six days away from the Royal Rumble.  Punk has been champion for 428 days, and he has worked half of his life to get to this point.  He tells the crowd again, The Rock entertains, while he hurts people and is the champion. This is what he does, and he will not allow The Rock to beat him or take away his championship. “Best In The World!”

Divas Match
Kaitlyn defeated Alicia Fox by pin fall via the Spear.

Backstage Segment
Paul Heyman and CM Punk are walking in the back, Heyman tell Punk to go up to his suite, and listen. Heyman is going to deliver a message to The Rock, not a pipe bomb, but a “Paul Bomb.”

In Ring Segment
Paul Heyman is standing in the middle of the ring, looks up at the suites and dedicates this to CM Punk.  He says Vince McMahon has been desperately trying to end Punk’s title reign, and this month he has gotten The Rock to try an end it.  He says that the people in the crowd and The Rock are both stupid.

The Rock’s music hits, he walks out holding a ticket, and makes his way to the ring.  The Rock thanks the San Jose police for the ticket that granted him access to the arena.  The Rock says he is the “People’s Champion,” and just like Martin Luther King Jr., he has a dream.  A dream to become WWE champion one more time.  Rock promises again that he will beat Punk this Sunday at Royal Rumble.  He says that the WWE Universe will be “free at last, free at last” from CM Punk’s title reign.

Just as The Rock is about to leave the ring, the lights cut out, and it’s pitch black in the arena.  The lights come back on, and we see The Shield ambushing The Rock in the corner.  It’s a 3-on-1 attack, The Shield is dominating, and then land their finishing move the Triple Power Bomb on The Rock.  The Rock is laid out in the middle of the ring, The Shield exit, and CM Punk has a mic.  Punk claims that the “Great One,” isn’t great enough to be the “Best In The World.”

Beat The Clock Match
Sheamus and Wade Barrett ended in a draw because the time of 10 minutes and 56 seconds, set by Dolph Ziggler, ran out.  Dolph Ziggler, AJ, and Big E. Langston served as a distraction on the outside.  Ziggler now gets to choose when he enters the Royal Rumble match, presumably choosing to enter as the last participant.

Backstage Segment
Vickie is shown in her office, when Ziggler, AJ, and Langston walk in.  Ziggler and AJ are gloating over their Beat The Clock win, and tell Vickie they get to choose when he enters the Rumble.  However, Vickie informs Ziggler that he doesn’t get to choose any number, his choice of numbers to enter the Royal Rumble is either #1 or #2.
