The following are the results of the 2014 WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view, from Pittsburgh, PA.

The panel for tonight’s show consists of Josh Matthews, Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels and “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan. Renee Young is in the Social Media Lounge for the kick-off portion of the show, and is also handling the interview duties throughout the pay-per-view. Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler and JBL are the announce team for the night.

Kick-Off Match
WWE Tag Team Championship Match
The New Age Outlaws (Road Dogg & Billy Gunn) defeated Cody Rhodes & Goldust by pin fall to become the NEW WWE Tag Team Champions!

Singles Match
Bray Wyatt (w/Luke Harper & Eric Rowan) defeated Daniel Bryan by pin fall with the Sister Abigail. Both Harper and Rowan were sent to the back early in the match up by the referee. This match was awesome, lasting 30 minutes, and highlighted by a tornado DDT to the outside by Bryan, and a Sister Abigail onto the outside barricade by Wyatt.

Backstage Segment
Renee Young is about to interview Paul Heyman, when Heyman just cuts her off and starts his promo. He tells us Brock Lesnar is going to take The Big Show down and move on to Elimination Chamber where he will become the WWE Champion.

Royal Rumble Panel
Josh Matthews gets the thoughts of the panel on the match we just saw between Bray Wyatt and Daniel Bryan. Shawn Michaels says that the future of the WWE is in good hands with those two guys.

Singles Match
Brock Lesnar (w/Paul Heyman) defeated The Big Show by pin fall with an F5. This match was dominated by Lesnar, who attacked Big Show before and after the match, with a steel chair. Lesnar may have landed close to 40 plus chair shots on The Big Show.

Backstage Segment
The Shield cut a promo on the Royal Rumble match claiming that they will go through all the others tonight, and they will be the final 3 in the match. At that point, it becomes every man for themselves. Reigns tells them that he is going into the Rumble with some swag, and that he is feeling really good about himself. Ambrose asked him what number he has, but Reigns doesn’t tell him. They start to argue, but Rollins calms them down… “Believe in The Shield!”

Renee Young interviews WWE Champion Randy Orton, who reminds Orton that there seems to be a line of people wanting a shot at his title, including Brock Lesnar, Batista and Bray Wyatt. Orton says that he is the face of the WWE, and none of them compare to him.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match
Randy Orton defeated John Cena by pin fall to retain his WWE Championship. Just as it seemed that Orton would tap to the STFU, the lights went out, and  The Wyatt Family appeared on the ring apron. Cena got up to attack them, but Orton was able to hit an RKO when Cena turned around  and pinned Cena.

After the match, The Wyatts’ continued their attack on John Cena, with Bray eventually putting Cena away with his Sister Abigail finisher. A woozy Cena gets up after a few minutes, and staggers back to the locker room.

Backstage Segment
Renee Young introduces the new tag team champions, The New Age Outlaws, and Road Dogg reminds us that they are now the 6-time WWE tag team champions. Highlights are shown of their victory from the kick-off show against Cody and Goldust. The Outlaws went 14 years in between title reigns, which breaks a WWE record for longest time between championships. The Outlaws tell Renee they got two words for her…”New Champs!”

A video is shown from earlier in the day of WWE Superstars who will be in the Rumble, and they tell us why they think they will win. Some of the superstars include: The Usos, Ryback, Damien Sandow, Fandango, Rey Mysterio and Batista.

The panel gives their predictions on who will win the Royal Rumble Match. Duggan picks Dolph Ziggler, HBK goes with The Shield and Flair predicts Batista.

The final 4 Royal Rumble participant were: CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Sheamus and Batista

The winner of the Royal Rumble Match was: Batista who eliminated Roman Reigns. Roman Reigns set a new Royal Rumble record eliminating 12 superstars, a record held by Kane for 13 years with 11 eliminations. Batista will go on to main event WrestleMania 30, and challenge for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
