WWE sent out a very interesting survey today to their mailing list today asking those who responded how they would feel about potential changes to the WWE Network in the future, including a tiered pricing system stating, “As part of a potential premium priced tier, WWE is considering adding new programming, features and special perks to the WWE Network. We are interested in your feedback about these ideas. Please let us know what you think by completing the survey below.”

The survey included an option for the person to respond if they were or were not currently subscribed before stating, “WWE is considering adding new programming to the WWE Network as part of a premium priced tier. Listed below are some potential new programming ideas. Please let us know how interested you are in each of the ideas. Select if you are extremely, very, moderately, somewhat or not at all interested in each of the ideas.

Listed among the ideas were house shows, tournaments, reality shows, Historic and new programming from promotions including Ring of Honor, Insane Championship Wrestling, PROGRESS Wrestling, New Japan Pro Wrestling and other independent wrestling promotions, some of which are available in the list below.

WWE Director’s Cut – Shows that put a new twist on classic content such as WWE Legends narrating historic pay-per-view events or current WWE superstars providing their perspective analysis of classic matches and events.

TV-14 In-Ring Show – A new weekly version of ECW (Extreme Championship Wrestling) or an other edgy new promotion rated TV-14.

Local Tournaments – Tournaments that take place in your home country featuring local talent similar to the WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament which took place in England earlier this year.

Special Live Events – Special one-time live events from unique locations around the world featuring an unexpected main event.

Audio Channel – A section of WWE Network for listening only purposes that provides audio play-by-play of pay-per-view events, music playlists, sports radio style call-in shows and podcasts.

TNA – Historic and new programming from TNA Wrestling/IMPACT Wrestling/Global Force Wrestling

Original Scripted Comedies – Comedies such as Southpaw Regional Wrestling, WWE Superstar Roasts or WWE’s version of “The Office”.

Original Scripted Drams – Wrestling themed series inspired by wrestling’s colorful and rich history such as WWE’s version of Game of Thrones.

WWE Legends House Season Two.

Life on the Road.

Reality show where contestants win a job with WWE similar to Tough Enough.

Tournaments including WWE vs. NXT tournament, King of The Ring/Queen of the Ring Tournament, Lucha Libre Tournament and a Tag Team Tournament.

WWE also asked for feedback from those surveyed on whether they would be interested in the ability to download content for on-the-go purposes, similar to Netflix, the ability to view content with friends via Facebook chats, the ability to personalize the WWE Network with playlists, alternative commentary from Stone Cold Steve Austin and Jerry Lawler, the ability to rate segments or matches similar to Netflix, alternative camera angles including drone camera, Go Pro camera, gorilla position camera and virtual reality.

The company also requested feedback on potential rewards for subscribers including special pricing on VIP events such as meet and greet events, free shipping from WWE Shop, early access to tickets, automatic sweepstakes, early access to new WWE merchandise, the ability to listen in on WWE conference calls with executives, a loyalty program to earn points for recurring subscriptions that can be used towards merchandise or ticket upgrades, the chance to vote on the WWE Hall of Fame and Slammy Awards and the opportunity to receive breaking news from the company before it is published on any other platform.

It will be interesting to see what the company decide to bring over to the WWE Network in the months ahead.
